Due to the bad economy  foundation companies have their back to the wall. Business is bad. Due to bad business, prices are dropping. If you have been waiting to get some work done, now is the time. Deals can be made!

However, it is also the time to approach with care. Many companies are on the verge of going out of business. Others are hanging on by a thread and unable to honor warrantees.  A number of companies are lowering the price of piers and make up for it by putting in several more piers that necessary (a trick used my many when business is good). Last, but not least, the quality of material and workmanship has decreased. Companies have fired their highest paid (and most knowledgeable) employees and are scrimping on quality of pier material.  

There are still good companies out there with good people, products and morals, they are just a lot harder to find. High advertising budgets and famous spokesmen do not assure good products, people or morals. Now, more than ever, you need knowledgeable help.
