Foundation repair failed?

Foundation repair failure, unpleasant to think about, is painful to experience. Foundation repairs do fail all too often. Sometimes it can’t be helped and the contractor comes back and makes it right. Sometimes it can’t be helped and the contractor does not come back and fix it. Sometimes the repair is out of warrantee or there was no warrantee. Sometimes the problems reoccur in the area that was fixed; sometimes it occurs in areas that were not fixed. Sometimes settlement was addressed and later upheaval occurs. Sometimes when drainage issues are addressed, excessive drying can occur, causing new settlement.

Sometimes the owner failed to maintain proper care. Whatever the case, usually, thing can be remedied. When foundation repairs fails, it is always good to have a second unbiased opinion to help negotiate a solution.  Sometimes, just having someone on your side, who knows the business, helps leverage the results. Sometimes the contractor is gone and you have to bite the bullet. In cases like this, rather than starting over it is usually more economical to find someone who can adjust the original repair. Sometimes that is possible, sometimes it is not.

These are but a few of the reasons you need a “friend” in your corner when dealing with real, perceived or potential foundation problems. For a few dollars, I can be that friend. I’ll re-assure you if your problem is not structural. I will show you how to prevent or stop problems with simple maintenance. If structural problems exist, I will explain your options and help you find a good contractor, with a good product, at a reasonable price.  We will also avoid “excess repairs”, which could save you thousands of dollars.
